FlowChamber is a start-up that focuses on the development and marketing of a technology that rapidly assesses the entire hemostasis system. This yield researchers more insight in the coagulation status of a patient and enables clinicians to choose for an acute intervention in case of emergency cases where a patient has severe blood loss.
Patric Machiels is the managing director of FlowChamber, where he manages the business, products, services, and customer relations. He studied Applied Physics at the Technical University of Eindhoven. He has a background in business development and product development.
Prof. Dr. J. Heemskerk is scientific advisor and professor at the Maastricht University. He is (co-)author of 250 articles in the fields of platelet signal transduction, experimental thrombosis and cell-based coagulation. Prof. Dr. Heemskerk is a member national and international scientific advisory boards in the field of thrombosis and hemostasis.
Dr. Yvonne Henskens is clinical advisor and head of the laboratory units for Hematology, Hemostasis and Transfusions in the Maastricht University Medical Centre, Netherlands. Her main interest are predictors of bleeding and management of coagulopathies. She is active in the boards of the Dutch Societies for Hematological laboratories and clinical chemistry.
Linda Herfs has broad experience in the analysis of hematology. As development engineer she is responsible for the clinical validation of the Hemostatic Flow Analyzer.
